Help Betlejewski Family #DaveStrong

Donation protected
On Sunday, October 2, my brother-in-law David Betlejewski was rushed in an ambulance to the hospital in the early morning hours with a crippling headache. After a battery of tests we were devastated to learn that David had suffered a stroke. He went into emergency brain surgery, which appeared to be successful. For the moment.

On Monday, David's condition worsened and he was life-flighted to Cleveland Clinic's main campus, where he would undergo a second brain surgery. His life was saved, but the fight for his life goes on. We are fighting for his life with him. We are scared and hopeful at once. Even after receiving care from some of the best neurosurgeons at the Clinic, David's health is very fragile and his recovery may be a long road. (UPDATE: Post-surgery MRI showed that David experienced multiple strokes to his cerebellum and occipital lobe of his brain.)

There's never a good time for a health emergency, but this couldn't have happened at a worse time. Right now David is between jobs, trying to go full-time with his own business and is currently not insured by a private insurance plan. And without David being able to work in the foreseeable future, his wife and children will need help from all of us.

David is 37 years old. David is a husband and a young father with two beautiful little boys: Henry, almost 3 and Everett, who turns 1 in October. David has an amazing, big family that would give their own lives for him. David has a personality as big as his heart and is a friend to everyone. David's wife — my sister, Erika — is his best friend among them all.

Please give what you can. The money you donate will be used to support Erika, Henry and Everett during this difficult time, as well as other expenses that may arise throughout David's recovery. Also, please keep praying with all you can. Thank you.
