Help John Wiersma and Family

Dear Family and Friends of John - As most of you know John hadn't been feeling "normal" for the last year and a half or so.  Thanks to the persistence of his wife, Marti, an MRI was done the beginning of September and they found a tumor in John's brain.  Luckily, they found it when they did, as doctors later revealed that John probably would have passed away in his sleep, within weeks, if it hadn't been discovered.  On September 16, John had brain surgery to remove the tumor he loving called "Vienna".  After almost 11 hours of surgery, the doctor was able to get 95% of the tumor out.  Pathology reports later diagnosed the tumor as a very rare, but praise God, very treatable, tumor called an Ependymoma grade 2 malignant tumor.  Prognosis is good but John has a long road ahead. I know a lot of people have been wishing there was something they could do to help over the last few weeks, which is why this page was created.  There will obviously be many medical bills, time off work, etc. and hoping we can make money one less thing for them to worry about as John's getting back to his humor filled self!  It's time for us to wrap him and his family up in love and bring a smile to their faces as he's done for so many of us.  No real goal amount set, just hoping it becomes as well know and supported as one of his latest claims to fame, "Shredding Chicken Like a Boss" =).  Anything you can do to help, is greatly appreciated!
