CANCER CARE & SURVIVAL SUPPORT FOR LU’KI
Lu’ki is a mixed indigenous 2s/trans person battling Stage 3 Epithelial Ovarian Cancer & CKD (caused by cancer treatment & a pre-existing autoimmune disease). Lu’ki is in need of a radical hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy and lymphadenectomy. Lu’ki was in the process of preparing for this surgery as part of a clinical study- which would have paid all surgical costs- when they began suffering complications from treatment meds combined with their pre-existing chronic illness, causing serious kidney issues which have now disqualified them from the study.
Lu’ki is currently exploring several options for funding to pay for this crucial surgery.
In the meantime they will need to continue cancer treatment (chemo) to prevent their cancer from further metastasizing and separate treatment to support their kidneys and treat their anemia, which has recently worsened due to kidney issues.
Lu’ki will not be able to stay on treatment meds indefinitely due to the damage to their kidneys, so this is a VERY time sensitive need. They will, however, need to continue their current treatment until surgery and for several weeks post-op.
Please consider contributing to Lu’ki’s survival. Any support is greatly appreciated!
