Missions trip to Jinja, Africa

Donation protected

So here is the story of how I am going on this trip:

I have always had a heart for missions and especially Africa. At the beginning of this year I started taking a class called "Perspectives", which trains you on Gods vision for global missions. During this time a lady came up to my brother-in-law and was talking about Africa and the trip she was beginning to plan. Through their conversation my name came up, as I have been there 4 times, wondering about what the environment is like there. So she approached me and asked if I would be willing to speak to the parents about Africa and the worries and concerns any normal parent would have! Come to find out it was 6 freshman girls and 3 ladies that teach/help at Lakewood Park. Thank God I have 3 older sisters or this may have been too much ;). At this time I wasn't thinking I was actually going on the trip. So the parents, girls and teachers got together to discuss things and have the girls share their heart for taking this endeavor to Jinja, Africa. I honestly couldn't believe I was hearing Freshman girls talk about fasting and praying during lunch and listening to Gods voice so intensely. It was empowering. After giving my 2 cents on safety and answering great questions the parents had, two moms asked if I would escort them on the trip. First time I was speechless the whole night but something inside me said, "go". Little did they know that I had been in the process of liquidating my assets to go full time into ministry and not only just overseas but helping people experience other cultures and growing closer to The Lord through those stretching times. This is just a glimpse of what God has been doing while putting this trip together. I cannot take any credit for what becomes of this and I truly give all the thanks and Glory to Him.

We will be traveling June 15-29th to Jinja, Uganda to serve Kupendwa Ministries. The non-profit exists to share Jesus Christ and His love with young mothers and babies in need, but also with each and every person whom God brings through the doors of this ministry.
