Everything Lost in Fire

Where do I start??? Last night my family and I lost our home and everything in it to a house fire. I thank God that we all made it out safely and without physical injury. After the first unit was put out we were allowed in for a few short minutes to grab some important documents and a change of clothing with the understanding that we could return today to use the daylight to salvage what we could. An hour or so later we received a phone call that the fire had reignited and that our unit was now engulfed in flames. We arrived as they got it under control and smoke was bellowing out of the upstairs window. The fire dept. said everything inside is a total loss. I am still trying to process what has happened in my mind. Again, I am just thankful that we are all safe and that no one got hurt. One of our neighbors was taken to the hospital, but I was informed that he is ok and suffered minor injuries. I don’t always know why things happen the way they do, but I know God always has a reason. So I will be still.

With that being said, I humbly reach out to you all for assistance. We are awaiting a call from the Red Cross for what our next step is in looking for a new home, but we are in need of literally everything right now.
