Hannah's Cancer Support Fund
In June, 2016 our 26 year-old daughter Hannah was diagnosed with aggressive , malignant invasive ductal breast cancer. She has 3 fast-growing, hormone-response negative tumors and is currently undergoing 4 months of presurgical chemotherapy, to be followed by a double mastectomy and radiation. She will be in treatment for a year.
Hannah and her partner Carl have been together almost 5 years and are loving parents to their adorable 19-month old son, Cameron. Her illness has changed the young family's life.
Getting such a diagnosis and the reality of the treatment plan at her young age has been brutal. Hannah has been having devastating chemotherapy side effects, including debilitating fatigue and chemo-induced vomiting that has left her unable to work since beginning treatment. She still has a very long road ahead in her recovery.
Hannah and Carl are a hard-working, loving young couple facing an unexpected and devastating challenge. With Carl working overtime and the help of their loved ones, the young couple has been keeping up with the absolute neccessites such as rent and utilities. Unfortunately, anything beyond that has been a struggle due to their present situation.
With a month of chemotherapy still to go--not to mention the upcoming surgery and radiation needed to help Hannah overcome this disease-- any help would be very much welcome and appreciated by this young family.
