Ballerina's Training at WSB

Welcome to our fundraiser for our daughter's Alexandra and Sydney! Our daughters, Alexandra and Sydney, auditioned for and were accepted into the prestigious Summer Intensive Program at the Washington School of Ballet in Washington, DC. This is a 5 week program that students from all over the world, auditioned for nationwide for a chance to partake in. It is truly an honor and a privilege to be able to train here. For many, it is a once in a lifetime opportunity and we strongly desire for them to have this experience. We started this fundraising campaign and would love to have your help to make this happen.

I must admit that I was a hesitant about doing this fundraiser. I wondered if people would think that it was "tacky" to ask for help to send their children to a ballet training program. It was time to consult a very wise woman; my grandmother, who encouraged me to move forward. She reminded me, that this is a great opportunity that will provide training in an art form that many African Americans don't get to take advantage of. She let me know that I didn't need to worry about it if someone didn't agree. And so here we are.

We need your help to make this happen. No donation is too small because every dollar counts and puts us one step closer to our goal. We thank you for your time, consideration, prayers and love.

P.S. Our goal is to reach $2450 (50%) by May 3rd which is required with the registration and the final amount by June 5th!! If we go over our goal the funds will be used to buy ballet shoes, leotards, tights and any other supplies they need for the program.
