JoAnns surgery fund

Anyone who knows JoAnn Lind knows that she has dedicated her life to helping others. She has taught kids that everyone else has given up on and loved each and every one of her students. She is also an amazing wife, mother, grandma, daughter, sister and friend. She has supported her amazing husband through many years of being in law enforcement as well as being in our armed forces. When it comes to families, there is no other family that is more giving and deserving of some assistance through a very difficult time in their lives.

Recently, Dr.s found cancer cells and a large tumor in Jo's uterus. Through many years of female issues, it is time to undergo the extremely difficult and expensive procedure of having a hysterectomy. With very little health insurance and the fact that Shane had to take an enormous pay cut to be in Florida with JoAnn and the kids, their family is feeling overwhelmed and concerned about how they will survive during her surgery and possible chemotherapy and radiation after surgery.

As of right now, JoAnn is schedule for surgery on October 19 and will be off work for 8 weeks for recovery. During surgery, Dr's will take biopsies to see if things have spread to any of the surrounding organs. At that time, they will make a determination as to whether chemo and radiation are necessary.

This will be a long road for them and I am setting up this fund to help them with rent, groceries, utilities, car payments, insurance and medical expenses while JoAnn is recovering.
