The Texies are hitting the road in 2013, playing hard and preparing for WFTDA playoffs and championships, with the ultimate goal of bringing home first-place and "The Hydra" to our league and fans. Travel is a must for this team, as we need to get in competitive games at the national level to qualify for, and travel to, tournaments. In order to do this we need of your help!
In general, each of our trips run the team about $4-5,000 dollars (excluding airfare, which players regularly pay for themselves). Additionally, food, uniforms, skates and protective equipment and tape and Advil, all add up to cost your Texies a pretty penny. In 2013 alone, we have 5 trips outside of our lovely Austin, TX (Minneapolis, Philly, Chicago, Richmond, and Milwaukee). These are extraordinary opportunities -- your generosity is integral to our ability to seize them.
We truly appreciate all of your support - if it comes in the form of cash, hand-made signs, watching on-line... whatever - we appreciate all that you do!
