Hi team,
After a lot of hard work, I qualified for the FIS World Ski Championships, and became the first Mexican woman in history to make it to this Winter Olympic qualification race. Two weeks later, I traveled to Lebanon to finish the season with a few races, and ended up getting 3 podiums- 3 silver medals! These are the first ever medals that Mexico has won (both men and women) in cross country skiing. Now, my goal is to be the first Mexican woman to represent my country in cross country skiing at the Bejing 2022 Winter Olympic Games. Your contribution will help pay for coaching, new gear, travel to races, and more!
A little about me: I am from Mexico City, Mexico. I am a 4th year medical student at the University of Minnesota going into emergency medicine. I started skiing to get through the Minnesota winters and to have something fun to do outside of school. Now, I'm on the Mexican National Ski Team trying to qualify for the olympics (yes, this is all crazy, I know haha). I would love to reach this goal, not only because it's something that I am passionate about, but because it is something that I want to give back to my country. Lastly, I hope to empower others through this example by showing that you can be a student and an athlete, so stay in school!!

Hola equipo,
Después de mucho esfuerzo, califique al Campeonato Mundial de Ski FIS en Alemania, convirtiéndome en la primera mexicana en la historia en participar en esta carrera clasificatoria para los juegos olímpicos. Dos semanas después, competí en Líbano y termine obteniendo 3 medallas de plata!! Estas son las primeras medallas que México ha ganado (incluyendo al equipo masculino y femenino) en una carrera internacional FIS en esquí nórdico. Ahora, mi meta es ser la primera mexicana en representar a mi país en este deporte en los Juegos Olímpicos de Bejing 2022. Su contribución ayudara a pagar entrenamientos técnicos, equipo nuevo, vuelos a competencias, ¡y mas!
Un poco más sobre mi: nací en la Ciudad de México. Estudio medicina en la Universidad de Minnesota y mis planes son especializarme en traumatología. Empecé a esquiar como forma de divertirme durante los laaaaargos inviernos de Minnesota, y esa búsqueda se convirtió en una gran pasión. Actualmente formo parte del equipo Mexicano Nacional de Ski trabajando duro para calificar a las olimpiadas (si, todo esto esta bien loco, lo se jaja) y me gustaría poder lograr mi meta. No solo por mí, sino porque también es algo que me gustaría regresarle a mi país. También quiero empoderar a los demás al demostrar que puedes ser un estudiante y un atleta, así que no dejen la escuela y sigan luchando por sus sueños!
