Help Sherry Beat Cancer

Donation protected
My name is Shannon Bryceland and I am fundraising for my sister, Sherry(Hunt)Tiplady. My sister was 51 years old when she was diagnosed with benign fibroid tumors in September 2018. A full hysterectomy was scheduled for May 24, 2019. Sherry waited 8 months for her surgery during this time her tumors continued to grow. Sherry's surgery revealed that she did not have fibroid tumors, she had cancer. A large football sized tumor weighing 25lbs was removed from Sherry's abdomen. A pathology was done and it came back as an Endometrial Sarcoma. Chemo treatment started immediately. During this treatment, Sherry asked for a second opinion from Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto, the #1 hospital for sarcomas in all of Canada. Princess Margaret recognized immediately that it was not a sarcoma and the pathology was done again. The pathology came back, this time Sherry was diagnosed with Sertoli-Leydig, an extremely rare ovarian cancer. The cancer had metastasized to her liver and spleen. Sherry went through two more different chemo treatments, with no luck. Sherry was then given a third chemo treatment that was an extremely aggressive treatment for testicular cancer, still no luck. More testing of the tumor was done and it was discovered that Sherry's tumor was 100% receptive to estrogen, Sherry is now on hormone therapy.
Sherry is part of a cancer survivor social media page and there was one lady's story that was very similar to Sherry's' with some positive results in the end. This lady was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, it had metastasized to her liver and spleen, she was given months to live. She tried a new experimental drug called Avastin and she has been cancer free for 2 years. Sherry went to her oncologist and spoke to her about trying this new experimental drug; for the first time, her doctor didn't give her bad news, she told her that it wasn't a bad idea!!
But of course with every positive comes a negative, this new experimental drug is not funded. Not funded, meaning it is going to cost Sherry out of her own pocket. The doctor sought funding through multiple sources with all efforts being denied. The cost for Sherry to continue to live is $3849.00 EVERY THREE WEEKS! These funds raised for Sherry would go directly to her medical costs.
Sherry is a proud and private person who has had a difficult time accepting help from family, let alone friends and strangers. She has never wanted to ask for help but realizes that the time has now come for her to reach out to others for help.
Sherry is married with 3 young adult children and although her children are young adults, they still need their mom. Sherry still has much to do with her husband and children and would like to one day see her children get married and have children of their own. Sherry wants to grow old with her husband Mark and take care of him the way he has been taking care of her during all of this.

Please help Sherry!! I thank you, Sherry thanks you, our entire family thanks you.
