Hi, I’m Louie. On 3/28 I was brought in by my former owner to Crystal Lake Animal Hospital after being hit by a car. The moment I came in it was all hands on deck due to my critical condition to save my life. The entire staff at Crystal Lake Animal Hospital was so concerned about me and just trying to help me survive. Unfortunately after many diagnostics, we discovered he had a severe fracture in his pelvis. When the staff at Crystal Lake Animal Hospital came to speak to my owner about the procedures I needed and the cost, she was no where to be found. Her driving me to the clinic was essentially the last I saw my mom. She had surrendered me.I felt alone abandoned and very scared. It came down to either having major surgery or euthanized because there was no one there to cover the costs. That was not acceptable to staff members At Crystal Lake Animal Hospital. The whole staff stepped up, pitched in and donated time and services to help me pull through. Here is where I need your help! I will need an orthopedic surgery to place a metal plate and screws in my hip and unfortunately this is beyond the scope of Dr.Melgey. Crystal Lake Animal Hospital will need an outside specialist to come in and perform the surgery. Amanda has decided to take me on as her new Furbaby! Crystal Lake Animal Hospital has been generous enough to match any amount donated until we reach our goal.
