Toyohari summer school 2013

Donation protected
In late July this year, I hope to attend a 5 day intensive Toyohari workshop, held in Tokyo.
This educational opportunity comes around every 2 years. However this August I will finish my Toyohari certificate, which will mark the end of my three years of postgraduate skills study.
I started my journey with acupuncture in Japan in 1997 and I see the summer school this year in 2013 as my having come full circle in my understanding and appreciation of the effective, sustainable and respectful healing modality of acupuncture and meridian therapy.
Your support to enable me to get there would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for reading this far!

Toyohari Meridian Therapy Summer School
20th Keiraku Daigaku Workshop

Toyohari© is a form of traditional East Asian medicine. It is a refined system of Japanese meridian therapy. It is different from most other forms of acupuncture in that it uses more delicate (often non-inserted) and specialized treatment methods, placing great emphasis on the use of pulse diagnosis and palpation skills. Its theoretical foundation is derived from the medical classics: Nei Jing, Su Wen, Ling Shu and primarily the Nan Jing.

Every two years there is a summer school for local (japanese) and international practitioners of the Toyohari method. This is an intensive 5 days of study with some of the best meridian therapists (acupuncturists) in the world.

Five days of tuition will enable graduates to considerably improve pulse and tactile diagnostic and assessment skills, develop a greater sense of Qi sensitivity and learn a range of non-stimulation methods specifically aimed at regulating the distribution of Qi, enhancing the constitutional well-being of patients as well as relieving symptoms.
