The Harris Relief Foundation

Hello, my name is Vincent Harris. At the age of 23 years old I lost both my mother and father. My mother Mary Teresa Harris died on July 15 2016 at Anne Arundel Medical Center due to liver and heart failure. I go to school and work full time so I can provide for my younger sister molly who is autistic and has clubbed feet which makes her unable to stand for long periods of time. Due to this fact my mother became a stay at home mom and provided everything the two of us needed, she always provided food for the two of us, a roof over our heads, an attentive ear and a warm heart.  Even when my father was diagnosed with Parkinson disease she cared for him every day until he passed away on September 3rd 2015. Even amongst the many issues she dealt with she still found time to homeschool my younger sister molly.  For as long as I can remember my mother was always the rock on which this household stood upon and now that she is gone I am doing my best to become the rock that she was, however I am only just a boy who is learning how to deal with the lost of both his parents and to be a good role model for my sister. My best friend Travis who is practically like a brother to me has helped me so much with in this past year. He was with me when my father died in his bed, and at the hospital with me when my mother took her last breath. He has given me so much love and support I honestly do not know where I would be with out him. But even with his love and support he has provided we are still struggling to make ends meet. Now that both of my parents are gone the bills of this house rest upon my shoulders however being a full time student while working full time I can only accrue but so much money. I soon realized that between the rent, electricity, groceries, water and funeral expenses I will need financial help to assist me in supporting my new responsibilities.  My family needs these funds as soon as possible to help pay for everything, including keeping the house. It would honestly mean the world to us all because it would help us get back on our feet and to continue with our everyday lives and to maintain what little sense of normality we have left. We will forever be grateful for what ever little funds are contributed because every little bit counts.
