Flood Recovery for Aunt Rose
Donation protected
My great aunt Rose recently lost her small house in St. Amant Louisiana in the floods this past week. Black mold sets in in 38 hours after the water recedes and it's doing so rapidly. There is so little time and she has very little to begin with.
This money will go towards paying for demolition/ rebuilding of her tiny house. They need to knock out all dry wall and insulation.
She doesn't have an email because she's 80 so the money will go directly to my mom (Laree Taylor) who will present Rose with a check for her to sign. We will take a pic of the check and document it to ensure receipt of all funds. We will then provide assistance to Rose to find help and I will report back with exactly what it was used for.
She doesn't know I'm doing this. She is a kind, humble person, who has never had much. She has a tiny one bedroom house that was already falling apart next door to her sister who also lost her home in the floods. The reason I'm reaching out about Rose is because her family that she usually depends on is also completely devistated by this flood, and I know we can help lessen the burden.
I know everyone is going through so much, but I'm here and safe in NYC and I feel so helpless. I've never done this before, but if anyone is looking to give, please sincerely consider donating to her. I swear 100% of this will go directly to a victim who needs us now. I'm humbly asking that if you have any amount you'd consider donating it will be more appreciated than you know.
I love my aunt and she never deserved this.
Thank you all.
