I pray that this message finds you in good health and spirit. My name is Dominique C. Cooper and I was recently crowned Miss Black Florida USA 2013. It is an honor to serve as Miss Black Florida USA and I have vowed to continue in exemplifying the greatness that flows through the history of Florida. In August of this year, I will be competing for the title of Miss Black USA 2013 in Washington, DC. I need your help in reaching my ultimate goal of becoming Miss Black USA 2013. As a motivated young woman, I am constantly pursuing ways to make greater advances in my life and I have learned that with special recognition comes great responsibility. During my reign as your Miss Black Florida USA, I plan to promote my platform, "iModelMe - Revitalization of Womanhood", along with various programs championed by the Miss Black USA Organization, "The Heart Truth Campaign" and "National Center for Missing and Exploited Children."
I currently work for the Department of Defense as a Systems Engineer in Route Reconnaissance and Clearance. The capability that is provided by my specific program aids in mitigating threat use of explosives and non-explosive barriers along routes in areas of operation. This knowledge alone has further developed my sense of accountability and commitment to produce quality work from not only a professional perspective but also from a personal standpoint. In parallel, my experience in the nuclear power industry as a Nuclear and Radiological Engineer undoubtedly required a great level of responsibility. A mistake in both realms of work could easily lead to a human death or severe injury. Hence, in the spirit of excellence, I strive to do all things wholeheartedly; for I know the reward will be great!
In my spare time, I work to perfect my literary gifts through reading and writing poetry and songs. I also provide counsel to women of many generations. The liberation and growth that occur within these sessions always excite my soul! Helping young women and girls discover their identity and purpose and sharing the wisdom that continues to be deposited within me is a deep passion of mine. I would be honored if you or your company will assist me through sponsorship so that I may truly maximize my reign as Miss Black Florida 2013 and hopefully, Miss Black USA. I am seeking donations in any form: monetary, services in-kind, love and support. All funds raised will be expended for travel, lodging, wardrobe and other national pageant fees.
