Funeral fundraiser for Tuc Nguyen

Tuc Nguyen was a loving husband and a wonderful father figure of two sons, a niece, and a daughter-in-law. When he was 18 years old, my father left Vietnam to come to America to raise two sons with his lovely wife. He worked hard to provide and made sure his family has everything they needed. He was someone who was always joking and helping others as if they were his family. My father and I were almost complete opposites, but despite our differences we know one thing for sure, I love him and he loves me. He has sacrificed so much for our family and I have learned a lot from him.
On October 16, 2016 he was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Lung Cancer. He fought a long and tough battle. Moments before the start of a New Year at 11:56pm of December 31, 2017 Tuc Nguyen took his last breath in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loved ones.
My mother and father always talked about how after they retired, they would travel back to Vietnam, settle down in the country and enjoy the rest of their lives there. My father retired at 65 years old, a year after he was diagnosed with cancer. Despite the numerous trips to the hospital for treatments, he was still determined about his dream of going back to Vietnam up until his final moments of life. He passed away before his dream could come true. I made this fundraiser page to help relieve my mother of the hospital, memorial and funeral expenses, as well as for her to be able to go back to Vietnam. I want her to know that she has family who is there for her too. I would also want my mother to able to fulfill the dream she shared with my father, even though he is no longer with us.
All of the donations made will be used towards my mother’s trip to Vietnam and also to relieve the financial burden on her as she is now a widow with two kids. My family has incurred many expenses during my father’s battle with cancer and any amount donated will be greatly appreciated. Any words of comfort are welcome. He will rest peacefully knowing so many people supported him and his family.
I would like to give thanks to my friends, Jasmin Pascual and Clem Lim, and my girlfriend, Tram Nguyen, for helping me putting together this page. I wouldn't be able to do it without you guys.
