Vicky's Memorial Fund

Just over three years ago my son Shane married his soulmate Vicky.  Four days after their wedding, Vicky was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. I have never met anyone more brave than my daughter in law.  She was a very courageous wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend.  Through it all, Vicky always kept a smile on her face and looked for the good in life. Sadly, after more than 3 years at the young age of 35, Vicky passed away leaving her husband, 2 young daughters and many friends and family that loved her and will miss her greatly.  If anyone has ever gone through this ordeal, then you know how draining it is emotionally and financially, which her husband (my son) is now faced with.  We are hoping that this fund will alleviate some of that burden, as well as provide for her children.  My son has been so strong through this entire situation and needless to say, is totally devastated. Shane worked very hard to make sure that Vicky had everything she needed and every cent has been spent mainly on medical bills, leaving nothing left for the funeral costs. It is my hope that I can give him back some semblance of order in his life and eliminate some of his hardships that he has to endure in the coming days.

In lieu of flowers or gift baskets, I am asking that donations please be made to this fund.  Both my son and myself are very appreciative to have so many great family and friends.
