Fulton County Police Department Captain Breylan Hicks was involved in a serious motorcycle accident on Tuesday, August 9, 2016. Breylan was within minutes of arriving at his residence after attending training. This accident is life changing. Due to the severity of the accident, Breylan’s leg was amputated and could not be reattached. Breylan has served as a law enforcement officer for over 26 years at the Fulton County Police Department and previously with Marta Police. During the span of his career, he has achieved being a Field Training Officer and a member of the elite SWAT Team. As the Range Master at the Fulton County Public Safety Training Center, Breylan has been instrumental in teaching the necessary fundamentals to all who have attended this Academy. He has dedicated his life to civil service always lending a helping hand to whomever needs it; officers as well as civilians. Breylan is a dedicated husband, father, son, brother and mentor. This life-changing injury will require months of therapy and rehabilitation. If anyone can overcome this; it is Breylan. Any and all financial assistance will be greatly appreciated.
