David Nardone's Cancer Battle

Donation protected
No one ever wants to hear the words "you have cancer" from their doctor... unfortunately, this is exactly what happened to my brother, this summer. David has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. He must now undergo aggressive chemotherapy, along with a Clinical Trial protocol, in order to battle this horrific disease. David has dedicated his life to children. To teaching them. Guiding them. Inspiring them. He adores his students and goes above and beyond in regards to his "kids". He is a man that isn't comfortable asking for help from others...so I am asking for him. Rest is paramount while battling this disease. Treatments are long and rigorous, and treatment costs are astronomical. We are hoping that this fund will alleviate some of the burden and allow him to fight without additional financial stress. Treatment costs will add up quickly, and his oncologist is telling him that working will not be an option for the next 4 months or so. I chose the amount of $33,000 because 33 is a special number for our family. We actually have no idea what the bills will be, as we have never faced something like this before...but have faith that what is needed, will come. Once treatment is done and he is able to cover his medical bills, any surplus funds will be donated to help the battle against cancer. I know my brother has many friends with Dade County Public Schools, and I have heard that they may be able to donate sick days to him. If any one has information on how to do this, I would appreciate any insight. So many have already reached out to our family, asking what they can do to help. Sharing this post and my brothers story would help tremendously!!! Also, I work in California 9-10 days a month. I may need help with getting him to and from chemo appoints when I'm out of town, as the pain in his legs prevents him from walking long distances. If anyone has a flexible schedule, and is willing to assist, please contact me. Our home is open for visitors, particularly while I'm in California. I know that would be great for lifting his spirits and I'm sure the company would feed his soul. The power of community is an amazing tool, and if many give just a small amount, we can move mountains. Please find it in your heart to donate any amount you can.Thank you so much on behalf of our family❤️
