College Graduation Fund

For those that may not know, I am currently in school at Georgia Military College to earn my Associates in Science in Pre-Nursing as well as my Associates in Science in Psychology. I have been in these programs for a little under 2 years. I have finally made it to the stage where I am one quarter away from graduating from GMC and beginning my next journey into nursing school. This week I was able to register for my final classes and begin applying for my graduation. It was the most excited I have been in a while. My graduation date is set for July 18th. However, I was notified a few days later that I had used all of my financial aid for the 2019-2020 school year. The balance that is remaining on my account is $2,000. I have been applying for scholarships and have tried to get other loans, however for a payment plan to be put into place, I have to have at least $500 by May 15th with the remaining $1,500 paid by July 10th in order to walk in my ceremony. I’m a full-time college student, as well as hold a full-time job at the VA Hospital. With normal bills, I can’t come up with the $2,000 on my own. I have worked so hard to get to this point and have tried to do this on my own, but now is my time to swallow my pride and ask for help. Any money that can be given will go directly to my payments for my 4 classes this quarter and in any case there is any extra, it will go to the fee for the cap and gown. I know this is a tough time for so many people so anything that can be donated would be greatly appreciated and will help me invest in my future.
