Kidney Kash for DJ & Shawn

My husband, DJ, was diagnosed with ESRD (End Stage Renal Disease) in Feb 2012. Dialysis has been sustaining him for just over a year now. But, that is soon to end! His cousin Shawn is doing a lot more than saving the day. He's saving DJ's life by donating him his kidney. Both will undergo surgery in early May.

So, here's the big ask... please donate whatever funds you can to help ease the finacial burden each of these guys will experience.

Shawn will be unable to work for about 8 weeks as he has to travel to SF and spend a good amount of his recovery time here. Shawn has a large family back home and we all know how hard it is to feed growing kids, especially when your income is suspended.

DJ will need to pay out-of-pocket for anti-rejection prescriptions, co-pays, and medical bills. The estimated cost of anti-rejection meds is upwards of $150 per month for the rest of his life. Let alone the mounting medical bills in general.
