Lets Help Robbie get back on his feet!

Dear friends and family of Robbie Tristan:

My name is Seth Foss, one of Robbie's closest friends.  As many of you may know, Robbie had to make an impromptu trip to Hungary due to an urgent situation. Robbie experienced seizure-like symptoms a number of weeks ago in his right arm.  Due to the cost of medical care in the United States, he was unable to be diagnosed in the states and was required to fly to Hungary.  Tests revealed that Robbie had a small brain tumor which had been causing pressure on the portion of his brain which controls movement (extra scary for a World Champion Ballroom Dancer).  He underwent surgery to remove the tumor.  The surgery was a success and the biopsy brought good news "“ it was benign!  However, physical therapy and extensive healing time are required as his physical and mental mobility is limited and he will not be able to return to the States until after his first follow-up in June.   Robbie is in good spirits and has a positive attitude.  He is taking one day at a time "“ some days are better than others.

Robbie's talents, compassion and kindness have been shared with so many of us all over the world.  An example of who Robbie is was felt when he became the founder of Dance of American Foundation, set up in 2011, to help "at risk" youth by promoting communication, collaboration, self-esteem, self-awareness and realization of goal-setting via ballroom dance.  Robbie's selfless nature and strong desire to succeed has allowed so many of us to watch, and even be brought alongside him, for an exciting ride of life that he has created for himself and others.  Even hospitalized, Robbie has been thinking about the future when he can return to States, continuing to do what he loves so much.  The realization, however, of the inability to work and medical bills is stressful for Robbie. 

I am asking for us to come together at this difficult time and give back to someone who has given so much to us.  Let's help Robbie offset some of his expenses and make this challenging journey a little easier.  Any donation, big or small, will not be forgotten.  

At this time it still takes a lot of his strength to communicate and he asks that messages or inquires be sent to myself ([email redacted]) and I will be sure that he receives them.
