On January 31, 2017 our adoption journey was suddenly interrupted when our agency permanently closed and filed for bankruptcy . This has been another huge setback in our over a decade long journey to become parents. We had invested over $13,000 into our adoption and it looks like little, if any, of that money will be recovered.
This has been a shock and we are now trying to pick up the pieces. However, we remain commited to being parents who will offer love, support, and caring so that a child can grow and thrive to enjoy all that this world has to offer.

The funds we raise will be critical to putting our adoption back on track. Rather than work with another agency, we intend to independently advertize to match with a birthmother and then employ an attorney to finalize. The funds we raise here will be used to cover these costs, as well as the costs of once again doing background checks and a homestudy.
Even though we are not yet parents, we have come to understand the importance of community in parenting. During our long journey we have been supported and helped by so many. We are again asking for support. We know--and our future child will know--that our lives depend on the labor, love, and sharing of others. Your support is invaluable to us and will contribute in unkown ways to the vibrancy and well-being of the child we parent.
