Erin's Medical Bills

The morning of November 14th 2016 my wife woke to find our daughter standing in the bathroom unable to talk or move her left arm. With her being a type 1 diabetic we immediately thought it was something with her blood sugar. We checked it and it was within a normal range. We had an idea of what was going on but didn't wait around. We drove directly to the hospital and didn't wait for an ambulance. By the time we got to the hospital she had lost all movement on her left side. She could not walk, talk or move her left arm. Within an hour the doctors came in to confirm our daughter, just 23 years old, had a stroke. The next day they ran more test and found that she had more than one stroke over the past 24 hours.  We immediately started seeing improvement, in just an hour or so she was back to talking. We spent the next month in the hospital and rehab. After being released from the hospital we found we had to purchase a number of items to assist with daily activities.  We began physical and occupational therapy as soon as we  could. Just a few weeks ago marked 8 months since the stroke.  She is now walking without any assistance and has greatly improved. She does wear a device that keeps her left foot pulled up. She was working full time prior to the stroke. Her employer was great and said her job would be there when she was able to come back to work. She started back to work two months ago. She is working 2 days a week for about 2 hours each day.
It has been a long tough road but Erin is a fighter and has pushed herself so much. She continually works to get back to 100%

Through all this my wife and I have taken on her bills. Even though we have good health insurance there are bills for doctors, equipment and therapy sessions.
My wife and I both work full time and I have taken on a second job to try and pay these bills off.
This money will help pay off the doctors and the debit for the equipment purchased.
