Scott Clark; A Lifetime of Giving

Donation protected
The following request is being made by the "Friends of Scott Clark", a large group of close family friends and relatives, partnering to assist a great family during a difficult time.

Please take the time to read this brief description of the type of person that Scott is and his family are.

The Clarks have not requested our help, but this terrible circumstance requires it.

Thank you for your support - "Friends of Scott Clark"

Scott Clark (or "Scotty"), and the entire Clark family, exemplify all that a community could ask for of their members. Great friends, neighbors, coaches, teachers, teammates, and tireless contributors of their time and effort to multiple organizations throughout the Town of Eastchester and other Westchester Communities.

It is for this reason, that we need to come together at this time to reciprocate for a family in need.

Scott, a longtime Eastchester resident, who was raised in the Crestwood section of Yonkers and graduated from Iona Preparatory School, is a former triathlete, former competitive diver, scratch golfer, youth lacrosse coach (Eastchester), youth basketball coach (CYO - ICS Tuckahoe), youth diving coach (Eastchester and Scarsdale), and amongst other things is mostly recognized as a wonderful husband to Carolyn, father of three children, who light up his life (Chris -21, Catherine - 17, and Cameron - 13), brother, brother-in-law, and son of Chuck and Cathie Clark. You may even know him as the guy who wears shorts and flip-flops rain, shine, or snow! (lol)

Scott was diagnosed with a rare form of appendix cancer, a little over a year ago, and has been courageously fighting this terrible disease. He, while never complaining during chemo and other debilitating treatments over the last year, continued to work several jobs to support his family (contracting, painting, driving, filming sporting events  for multiple schools throughout the county, including Iona Prep, his alma mater, and other jobs - believe it or not!).

Scott's condition has declined to the point that he is now unable to work, currently hospitalized for nearly a month, with no indication that he will work any of these jobs in the foreseeable future.

As with many other families facing similar struggles, the Clarks would never ask for community support, choosing to be the first to give instead of receive. Although an extremely admirable family quality, the Clark's large circle of close friends have taken it upon ourselves to request your kind and generous assistance.

Although Scott's fate is uncertain at this time, his family's mounting financial burdens are. No one likes to think of the nightmare of the family breadwinner being physically unable to provide for unsurmountable expenses, such as medical, mortgage, utilities, college tuitions, children's activities, and dozens of other typical, yet costly, expenses.

We ask that you find it in your heart to help the Clark's tread water while Scott is unable to assist. We can assure you that they would, and have on many occasions, done for others during their times of need.

Your donation, no matter what size, will be used to defray some of the aforementioned daily and monthly expenses that the Clark's incur, while Scott is hospitalized and unable to support his family.

Your thoughts and prayers are also being requested at this very difficult time!

*A Facebook page "Friends of Scott Clark" is in the works and will display some of the pics closest to Scott and his family.

Thank you, again - "Friends of Scott Clark"
