Stroke Recovery

Hello everyone, Thank you for taking the time to read this. Two weeks ago I got one of the worst phone calls a child can receive about their parent. My mom was rushed to the hospital on Saturday, October 10th. After arriving at the hospital it was confirmed that she was having a stroke. The stroke has caused damage to her left eye and as of right now the Doctors are saying it's irreversible. The right side of her body suffered most of the damage  (weakness and numbness). Being diabetic is creating more complications for her. She is currently hospitalized indefinitely and has started doing her physical therapy. It is unknown when she will be allowed to go home. When she does come home she will need nursing care until she is fully recovered.

My amazing mother has a long road ahead of her and unfortunately, the insurance isn't covering all of these expenses and COVID is making it impossible to go out to New York and help out in person at this moment. I am setting up this gofundme to help my family so that my mother can have everything she needs in order to recover. 

Those of you that know my mom, know she is a kind and loving person that goes out of her way to help everyone and anyone in need. She has been like a second mother to most that have met her and a kind friend. She is also a loving wife and grandmother to 6 grandbabies.
