Logan Condra is a 21 year old, who was going to Alice Lloyd College on a scholarship to play baseball. In January of 2015, he began having symptoms of Diabetes Isipidus, which was diagnosed in June of 2015. Logan was unable to go back to college in January of 2016 due to his body was shutting down, and not producing the life sustaining hormones that he needed. He had to have hormones replaced, and they began tests to find out why he had no hormone production. He had two spinal taps, several MRI's, and had brain surgery on 4-25-16, which resulted in a diagnosis of maglignant Germinoma of the brain.
Logan has finished four cycles of chemotherapy (12 treatments) while hospitalized in Vanderbilt, in Nashville, TN..He is going to begin 20 radiation treatments after further testing.
After each chemotherapy cycle, he had complications, resulting in hospitalization at Children's Hospital in Knoxville, Tn. to receive platelets and blood transfusions. The family has tremendous medical expenses from the hospitalizations, treatments so far, and travel expenses. Their medical bills before the last chemotherapy cycle were over $300,000.00, each chemo treatment has been $26,000.00 alone, not counting other expenses. The insurance will pay, but they have a $4,000.00 deductible, and a $6,000.00 out of pocket, and will have a 20% co-pay. Any help at all would be appreciated for this young man and his family. If you are not able to donate, please remember him and his family in your prayers.
