Marissa has been training since she was four years old. She is now a first degree black belt training with Benoit's Martial Arts for the past 11 years.
At a young age she developed an interest in competing in karate. She competes within Canada and more recently has travelled to Umag, Croatia and competed at her first WKF Karate 1 Youth Cup tournament this past June.
Recently, she has been invited by Karate Canada to compete at the Junior Panamerican Championships in Guayaquil, Ecuador at the end of August.
We are raising money to help fund her flight and expenses to travel and stay in Ecuador while she competes for Canada.
