This Easter Saturday, we want you to take your dog for a walk in aid of Cian’s Kennel’s for the 2fm Breakfast Doggy Dash!
So what's it about? Cian’s Kennels are our charity on 5 Words to a Fortune. The wonderful Cian Neary lost his battle with cancer at the age of 15. During his intensive treatment in his final months, he desperately missed his golden Labrador Cooper and every effort was made to unite them. Cian would visit Cooper in kennels near the hospital whenever he could and the positive impact this had on him was immeasurable. As a result, the Neary family have a dream to build fully resourced boarding kennels close to the Children's Hospital so that pets can visit sick children.
Our callers have been extremely generous when it comes to the charity, but we want to help them get even more donations, particularly during this difficult time.
So, it’s simple! On Easter Saturday 3rd April, all you have to do is walk 1km, 2km or 5km -whatever suits you and your 4 legged friend. Get snap happy and tag 2fm on your insta stories. Remember to do so safely and within Covid 19 guidelines (hence the maximum distance of 5km, see what we did there?!)
So tell your 4 legged friend that walkies will be for a great cause next Saturday, spread the word and give whatever you can.
