Hi everyone. As most of you know, we have had our pigs poisoned and ducklings stolen. I’ll attach the story below. We have ended up with a hefty vet bill due to this and sadly lost 6 animals. Here’s the story of how it all happened.
Timeline of horrific animal abuse events that have occurred on our smallholding in the past month.
17/05/2021- Poultry found with head ripped off during day, out of view of the CCTV. Stress sending goat into premature labour.
Two men and dog jump fence at 22:45pm, chasing sheep, when asked what they were doing, they ran off.
02/06/2021- vet called, suspected poisoning in goat
01/06/2021- Two young men arrive in Adams taxi, seen jumping fence at 21:30, when asked what they were doing they replied ‘none of your business’ informed that police were called. They get back into taxi and drive off.
04/06/2021 - first pig (rescue pig) found gravely unwell, vet came out, couldn’t be saved. Was haemorrhaging from nose. Suspected poisoning around the time of goat poisoning.
21/06/2021- 4, 3 day old ducklings stolen from parents at 15:05 in the afternoon, caught on CCTV
22/06/2021- Pig seriously unwell, haemorrhaging from nose and eyes. Vet called, comfirmed poisoning
We think that they have been travelling off of the canal out of view of the CCTV that we have in place . The police are involved and there is an ongoing investigation. Whoever you are, you are looking at 1-5 years in prison.
