Larsen Family & Moran's Market

Moran's Market and the Larsen family have for many years been a staple to the Riverton Community and to the residents of Portland.  Providing delicious food, jobs to their entire family in addition to many locals and students, a bus stop for the kiddos, and a warm smile from a member of the family when you walked through the door.  It's one of those places that we all know and love and hoped would always be there.  Well, tragedy struck Sunday night when a fire devastated the building, closing the store and displacing all of the tenants of the building, most of which were members of the Larsen Family.  The store has been deemed a total loss, putting the entire family out of work.  And the homes damaged and currently unhabitable from the fire and smoke at varying levels.  

Shannon Larsen, our friend and reason for this outreach, lived there with her 2 children Sebastien (7) and Haven (18mo), dad - Peter, mom - Cathleen, brothers - Martin and Leonard, in addition to the other tenants.  As a friend and former classmate of Shannon's, I along with many others wanted to figure out how we could help, so here it is!  I don't know a soul on this Earth that doesn't love Shannon and her sweet smile and kind heart.
