With the help and support of some incredible local businesses and residents, we are funding a community defibrillator, to be located in the heart of Stockton Heath village.

With the help and support of some incredible local businesses and residents, we are funding a community defibrillator, to be located in the heart of Stockton Heath village.
This came about following the very distressing scene where the Danish international footballer, Christian Erickson, suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch.
I was discussing with my team what action would/could we take if one of our guests went into cardiac arrest, did any of us know where a defibrillator was located and did anyone know how to use it. No one had the answer.
More discussions followed with local businesses & guests and we discussed the importance of us knowing this information - and more importantly, us (& our businesses) having access to one and having our teams trained on how to use it.
This should be part of our daily briefings and all businesses within the village, that welcome guests and customers should be aware of this information. Based on this, we've managed to secure most of the funding for a defibrillator to be located outside the Red Lion in Stockton Heath.
We need to have a fund for maintaining this vital bit of equipment so it is available 24hrs a day for anyone that should need it. It needs CCTV and power and it needs mounting safely with great visibility.
Any support from local businesses and residents would be greatly appreciated.
