Reed is one of the funniest and kindest kids we know! He loves animals and wants to travel the world to see the big cats he loves someday!
He has had many tough challenges in his health journey and at only 5 years old has had more procedures and surgeries than any kid should have to go through.
He had a successful liver transplant last summer and we hoped his pain was in the past but here we are back in NYC, far from home and waiting for answers.
Reed has been in the hospital since last Saturday and so far we have learned that he had a block in his bile duct, not entirely uncommon after a liver transplant. A drain was placed and from there he only got worse. He is currently in surgery to see what is going on inside, they may have hit his bowels and that needs to be corrected immediately. He will be in surgery for 4-6 hours.
We do not know how long we will be here but could use some help financially. Me and my husband are going back and forth to the hotel and hospital each day and funds are running short. Thank you so much for your help, we appreciate it with all our hearts.
