Helping Nick Heal

Donation protected
As many of you know, my brother Nick, affectionately known as Cutter, was in a terrible motorcycle accident. His accident occurred in the early morning hours July 10th on his way home from a friend's house. He was on the ramp going from I55-294, when he was found unresponsive. We do not know any details yet of the accident yet, as police are pursing an investigation due to the seriousness of his injuries.
Nick is currently in the Trauma ICU at Loyola Hospital. His injuries are severe and he is still in critical but stable condition. The left side of his head took the brunt of the fall and he has severe brain trauma. They had to remove part of  the left side of his skull and leave it off to help the brain be able to swell. He had bleeding on both sides of his brain, as well as multiple facial and orbital fractures on his left side of his face.
He is currently on a ventilator with a breathing tube in and they want to put a tracheostomy in as well as a feeding tube. However both were delayed yesterday as he has developed a fever and pneumonia.
His exam is promising right now. When he is off sedation and the doctors stimulate him, he moves every thing, he is just a bit weaker on his left side.  This morning he even started opening his right eye! It is not on command yet but still promising.
Nick is an amazing person and I feel lucky to have him as a brother. Just born is his new nephew Viggo by his brother David and sister in-law Nedime. He has his godson/nephew Cameron and niece Amelia from brother Tony and sister in-law Jaclyn, and his nephew Eddy from me. He as people all over the country, different religions, and even OTHER COUNTRIES, praying for him. He works on the Illinois River towing barges and also works with my father fixing motorcycles. He has a heart of gold and is loved by many. One of his many visitors was his best friend's 3yr old son who said "I love Cutter, Cutter is my best friend!" There is even a vigil in his room of his favorite dog Fred,  whom he recently walked down the aisle for a wedding! This is just a glimpse in to all the many people who love and are praying for Nick.
Nick does have insurance, but his hospital bills and rehab are going to be extensive. When he comes out of this he will be needing our support for a long time.  Any thing you can give would be greatly appreciated. Even if it's only prayers, we understand.
Nick is a STRONG man and we are praying that he will come through this. Watching him in his room you can see how strong he is and how hard he is fighting. Please feel free to share this link with others as well, as I am not friends with all of Nick's friends.
PLEASE KEEP ALL OF YOU PRAYERS AND WARM THOUGHTS COMING!
