Muzzy Dog needs surgery

Hello everyone, my name is Anthony Reyna. First off I don't want this to come off as a feel bad for a soldier in need story. First off I am in the Military, i've been in for just under 8 years and my family and I are currently stationed in Fort Richardson, Alaska. My wife Krystal and I have been married for 7 amazing years and we have two children Journey 4 years old and Derek right around 18 months. We have two dogs Gunner who is a boxer, and Muzzy who is a choclate lab that we recently got on 1 July 2016 he is 8 weeks old.
My family and my really close friends we are outdoorsmen, we will live to be on the water, fishing for salmon, or in the blind calling in ducks. For me duck hunting has become my passion, a legitmate extreme addiction. Its so strong that my wife and I decided to bid on pick of the litter rights from a well known breeder in Alaska (Alaska Labredors) at the Alaska Waterfowl Association Banquet early this year. This is where Muzzy dog comes into play. Muzzy is gonna be my hunting dog, initally when we went to choose our new pup I bounded with him, I knew he was the one. Our kids love him so much, Derek and him are little buddies.
On July 4th 2016, and by no means was in on purpose. My friends dog and launched at Muzzy for an unknown reason and I believe that he was stepped on. We waited a day and took him to the vet, got him x-rays and turns out his Femur was broken. Muzzy is in some serious pain even with the medicine to vet gave him, its breaks our hearts hearing him whine in pain. All he wants to do is play but we can't let him because he needs to be on bed rest in fear of the bones shifting even more.
The surgery will cost right around 3700.00 which sounds crazy I know, but we really need to get this done. We would try to get the surgery done this week. As early as friday.
Both my wife and I come from very proud families, asking for help is more times than known weak. However, if anyone can help we would be so greatful!
If push comes to shove, all my duck hunting gear/equipment is currently for sale, just really trying to make it a last resort.
Thank you for reading and god bless.
