Hello, my name is Jacob. Legally changed over to this almost 3 years now. 8 years ago, I came out as a transgender man. Before this, I struggled for a long time with trying to assimilate into the societal gender norms and I just...couldn't. I was majorly depressed, anxious and at the time even suicidal. A big part of it was not knowing who I was and feeling so lost. What gave me clarity was accepting the fact that I was transgender, a man born into the wrong body. Due to this, I had done a ton of research and took small steps for the first year, figuring out if this was really me. I lived as a man for 4 years before starting on testosterone. For 3 years I've been transitioning physically and have never been happier.
Unfortunately, testosterone can only do so much, and I've found an obstacle that I've desperately have been wanting to overcome.
Top Surgery.
A huge part of my dysphoria has always been with my chest. Since I was a young child I've always had a feeling I was meant to be male and yet never knew the correct terminology for it, nor that it was possible to transition into the correct body, with the one I have. I've never had an interest in having the extra fatty chest tissue since my first puberty. While testosterone can make them a little smaller, I unfortunately still have quite a bit that can only be removed with surgery.
I want to plan on having surgery as soon as possible, if I'm able, I was looking at around the later part of 2020 sometime when I moved. This also depends on how much funding I can get by then.
This funding would help me extremely, you have no idea. I would be able to live life normally again, be able to do one of my favorite activities without worry which is go swimming, workout comfortably and not worry about damaging my ribs due to binding.
I would be extremely grateful to anyone that could possibly donate to my cause, this would be the kindest gesture that I would ever receive and if any funds are left over, I would donate to someone else's top surgery funds to pay the kindness forward.
I've lived several years as a man and am very certain this is what I want. I have never felt more sure of myself in anything before.
