SAHS Raise Funds for Peko’s Vet Care

Peko is an incredibly sweet orange tabby cat who was recently living as a stray. He is an extremely gentle soul, and as you can see by the attached picture.  He was very much loved by the folks in a local seniors home. He showed up daily to give them some love and receive the same in return.  They could see that Peko needed urgent medical help. He is now in our care, and it was clear from the get go that he wasn't doing well. During his initial veterinary visit, he underwent several tests to find out what was affecting his health. He is now on liver medication, special food, and antibiotics for an ongoing infection. His bill  so far is $800 and can be expected to reach $2000 by the time he has undergone the treatment that he needs.
