Kevin's Medical Expense

On July 1st, 2017 my cousin, Kevin Beasley, was in a serious accident in Birmingham, Alabama. He was in his vehicle and rear-ended a vehicle. He exited his vehicle and was struck by a pickup truck traveling full speed on the interstate. It is safe to say Kevin has a long road of recovery ahead of him. He has been in the ICU since the accident with multiple issues including:

-compound fractures in both legs
-broken ankle
-muscle damage around his spine
-cracked ribs
-punctured lung

He has been hooked to a ventilator for almost a month because of various breathing problems including pneumonia in both lungs. 

We are starting the account because Kevin's sick leave is going to run out next week.  This means not only will he not have income coming in, but he will also have to pay COBRA to keep his medical insurance going. They are expecting he will have to go to a rehab facility after leaving the hospital.

This will cost an unknown amount and accommodations will have to be made to his home. We anticipate he will be in a wheelchair for a while.  Modifications will be required so that he is able to live in his home. It is safe to say that all of this is going to require a lot of money.
