Help with Lisa's surgery

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Laura Briest and I am starting this fund to help my dear friend Lisa. She is facing a desperately needed surgery for Silicon Toxicity which if left untreated, can be fatal.
Over the years that I've known her, I feel like I've watched her die a slow death. Lisa is a very sweet, sensitive, and God-fearing woman.  Her laughter is contagious! She is a very gifted artist and designer but in recent years she has been unable to work. She has been under the strain of ongoing medical bills and needs a life saving procedure that insurance does not cover. She can not do this without our help!  Like most of us, she's not comfortable asking for help, but I've convinced her to tell her story:

Lisa’s story

"Almost 30 years ago, after nursing three children I made the fateful decision to get breast implants. Unfortunately, during this time they knew very little about what silicone would do to the human body. Now there is scientific proof that the shell can break down and slowly leach silicone and over 40 other chemicals into the body's major organs, bones and the lymphatic system.

I have been sick now for seventeen years and my condition has continually gotten worse. My symptoms include extreme pain in my muscles, joints, base of my neck and clavicle. I have swollen lymph nodes, debilitating fatigue and inflammation. I suffer from multiple food allergies and I'm literally down to four foods. I have chemical sensitivity,  anxiety and depression. I have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism, autoimmune response, SIBO, IBS, and psoriatic arthritis.  Special diets have not helped.  I have been completely bedridden for months at a time.  I feel that the quality of my life has been taken away from me and sometimes it feels unbearable. God’s faithfulness and the love of my husband Ken, family, and friends is what has sustained me to this point.

One day recently, in my desperate search for answers, I came across some videos by women who had been suffering with these same ongoing, unexplainable symptoms who were having their implants removed and experiencing relief! This syndrome, I learned, is identified as “Breast Implant Illness" and "Silicone Toxicity". Thousands of women, suffering from my exact symptoms are recovering, usually within months after explantation! I can't explain the complete relief I felt to finally learn what was really wrong and also have a solution!"

The treatment includes removing the implants, all of the excess silicone, and the compromised lymph nodes, along with a two year detox program.”

As you can see, Lisa has been in a fight for her life and I have witnessed it first-hand.  The surgery is scheduled for August 24 and must be paid in full by August 18.

Lisa and Ken have made an $1100 downpayment and have saved as much as they could for the upcoming surgery but need our help to get the rest of the way to make it financially possible.

If we all help, together it will make a HUGE difference! I hope that you will find it in your heart to support her during this very difficult and critical time.

We are grateful for your prayers!  Thank you so much for your support!
