Dear Family and Friends,
It is with the most heavy and anguished of hearts that we share the passing of our sweet and angelic Lily, in the early evening of Wednesday, April 28th of 2021 with her devoted husband Darren and immediate family by her side, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Lily was a true servant leader who had the patience of a saint, the optimism to sift through the noise of this world and the art and mastery of healing others naturally through her many years as Founder and owner of Holistic Health Niagara where she was a Registered Acupuncturist and Certified Auricular & BioEnergic Medical Practitioner.
Through her own personal journey raising her daughter Marina and three step children Sam, Josh and Megan, one of Lily’s vocations in life was to better the lives of children. She believed that all children should have access to resources to help build resilience in life, including proper nutrition, mindfulness and positive psychology practices. Lily designed workshops within her practice that would enable children and parents to develop these critical life skills.
Her daily acts of kindness she did for us and others were always inspiring. During her career as a natural health practitioner she treated hundreds of patients who were financially disadvantaged pro bono.
Lily believed that being kind was more important than being right. She was a strong believer in the power of one’s own thoughts and words and the impact these have on the world and others. She also believed in the ability of one to heal their body and mind based on principles of neuroplasticity and natural medicine. Up until the last moments with us, Lily was determined to surround herself by those who uplifted her and provided her the level of optimism and hope she needed to get her through her journey - doing what she believed in most.
Lily’s loss is impossible for us to absorb as her family, because there is and can only ever be one Lily. One small way to honor her memory is for us to treat each other with the same empathy, kindness, respect and caring in this world that she has shown us. This fundraiser is to support her daughter Marina and efforts in continuing Lily's dream of helping others.
We have been blessed and honoured to have spent 45 years with Lily on this earth as Wife, Mother, God Mother, Sister, Daughter, Friend, Auntie, Cousin, Niece, Healer. We anxiously wait for the moment again where we may be re-united with Lily.
