WAAAG - A Displaced Animal Rescue Needs Your Help!
Sadly, and unexpectedly, WAAAG (Webberpack Animal Adoption And Getaway) a Veteran founded, all-volunteer 501(c)3 Non-profit animal rescue in Delaplane, Virginia, recently had to move all of its animals and facilities off the property that had been its home for over two years. During those 2 years, WAAAG helped save over 200 animals by finding them safe and loving homes. Our animals were housed in 2 climate-controlled cabins with plenty of fenced outdoor areas for play and exercise. Given very little time to accomplish the move, we were fortunate to find generous people to allow us to relocate on their land close to our original location in Delaplane. Moving these portable cabins and replacing the fencing exhausted our maintenance budget. We now have just enough in operation funds for the essentials of animal care (food, medical expenses, etc.) and desperately need a quick infusion of money to get WAAAG back in good working order (finish the last of the fencing, put down grass seed and straw or sod, secure storage area for the WAAAG supplies, etc.). Our dream is to build another cabin to help us help more animals in need of another chance at life. This unexpected move was a terrible ordeal for WAAAG, but our volunteers pulled together to get WAAAG back on solid ground. Our goal is to raise $50,000. The animals and volunteers of WAAAG will truly appreciate any amount of money you can give to aid us in getting on our “paws” again. With your help we can give our animals back their spaces to play, exercise and receive training to prepare them for their future forever homes. Your financial support, whether it is $5 or $100, will mean the world to a small rescue that begins its work where others have given up.
