70s Rock Stars Memorial DV Benefit
"70's Rock Stars"Concert! Memorial/Benefit July 6th, 2013 El Hasa Shrine Temple, Ashland, KY!
Imagine
a night with musicians who molded and influenced your musical palate.
These artists are legendary local musicians who helped bring real music to our
lives. The genesis came when a few musicians
wanted to memorialize the life of Johnny Eidson, who was tragically gunned
down, a victim of homicidal domestic violence 25 years ago. It will be a special night for Johnny's daughter Erica, who
witnessed her father's murder when she was 6 years old. For the
first time she will meet her mother and father's musical friends, and fill in the missing pieces stolen from her years ago.
Jonnie
Downs, Jim Downs, Steve French, Jim McKnight, Phil
Osborne, Tom Jones,Bruce Kazee, Dave Panchot, Nick Riff, Gary Donalson, Matt Miller and Robin Tackett and Stillwater have agreed to a huge jam! More will be added! So don't miss this opportunity! Also Attending Kebo Cyrus, Gregg Davidson, Don Gayhart and Aaron Marshall Miller and more!
These legendary musicians from Russell, Westwood and Ashland, KY, have generously donated their time and something of this magnitude must be shared with fans, friends and
family. To make this happen, we need your help. To rent a
location, a PA system with a sound technician, food and
beverages, lights, cameras, travel expenses, equipment, promotion, staff for the door, servers, and a clean up crew will cost approximately $4,000. Photographers will be available before the jam begins.
Donation suggestions
are above or select a different amount. Click anonymous if you don't want
your name to appear to the public! YOU MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD AT DOOR. A memorial program will also be available at the show to remember this event and honor those who helped make it happen!
Once we reach our $4000 goal to fund this memorial concert, we hope to form a non-profit for violence education that will include community outreach, art and music lessons for local school children and other learning opportunities. We will "pass the hat" at the event to help get this off the ground!
There is no "ticket" sale, due to some fancy
lawyer stuff about venues where alcohol is provided. Money left
over will be used for domestic violence education. This will be great night of rock! Donate and make it happen! No matter how small, it will make a difference!
You may make any donation anonymous, and still email me that you want to attend or sponsorship so others may attend!
