DR. RAE Scholarship Gala
Hello Everyone,
My name is Ra'Chanel Marshall and I am an educator who understands the challenge of being a working, single parent while pursing academic goals. For ten years I have committed my life to my educational interests while mentoring students to do the same. Balancing home responsibilities with school studies is a difficult process. I teach Communication courses to undergraduate students and now that I am nearing completion of my doctoral studies, it is time for me to continue paying forward. On June 1, 2013 I will be hosting a scholarship gala to honor deserving students who are at-risk. The scholarships will give preference to nontraditional students ages 23 and older, single parents, and those who are economically disadvantaged. Students are eligible to apply regardless of race, age, gender, color, disability, and sexual orientation. I have pledged a $2800 of my own money to host this event. Will you help me raise $5000 to award deserving students who against all odds are pushing to fulfill their educational dreams? I need your help!!! Together we can accomplish anything. Gandhi stated, "The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in others." Help me to ENCOURAGE, EDUCATE, & EMPOWER college students who don't want a hand out, but an opportunity! Thank you for your support! Blessings,
Ra'Chanel A. Marshall, Communication Professor
