Exploration of Cuban Dance

Hello family, friends, and supporters of the arts!!! I wanted to share with you all a amazing opportunity that has transpired that I would love your help with. As some of you may know I have been searching and working on professional research opportunities to study dance in Cuba for several years; more specifically the Cuban Ballet Technique. Well....an opportunity has finally opened up!!!! This summer I will be traveling to Cuba from June 16th -July 14th to study many styles of Cuban dance. In this trip to Cuba, I will receive instruction in the Cuban Ballet Technique, Cuban Modern Technique, and Afro-Cuban Dance. The location will be in Havana, the capital of Cuba, where I will take dance classes Monday through Friday in the various techniques. This opportunity was made possible through an organization entitled Vamos Cuba with provides independent research in Cuba in the areas of arts and culture. To complete my trip, I need to raise $2,250.00 to help pay for the classes and living accomodations; I will be taking take of all other costs such as air fare, insurance, passport, and visas myself. There is no amount too small or too big, and please know that I accept prayers as well:-). However, in giving certain amounts there are incentives. I want to share my experience in Cuba with you by giving an informational on my experience there and also offer a chance for you to learn some of the dance forms that I have experienced by offering master classes in Ballet, Modern, and Afro-Cuban Dance. These classes, however, will only be available to those in the Houston and Chicago area. If you choose give over the $100 amount, please contact me so we can work something out.
