Chairs For Sarah

The Girl in the picture is our Sister! Her name is Sarah; she is 25 today (14th July) she is one of 9 children a mum of two beautiful boys a Aunt to many and loved by all friends who ever met her. Sarah was a funny, loving, crazy kind of girl who was the life of any party and defiantly was good at it.

On an afternoon in April we all got a horrific phone call, Sarah's heart had failed as a result from a seizure.
We all were used to Sarah having a seizures but this one was different....
They had put Sarah in an induced coma, hooked up to all the machines imaginable to attempt to stop the seizures and wait for her to feel better.
For days we sat by her side-Parents, Siblings, Aunts and Uncles had travelled near and far and Sarah was never by herself. we talked to her, yelled at her, sang to her, Sarah had a fresh face of make-up done every day and a new hair-do to match we held her hand and slept on her arms; but on April 14th 2016 it was the news that no one wants to hear about their child, sibling, niece. Sarah was declared brain dead and there was nothing else we could do or have a say about it. she was gone!
for most people that is usually it, they say their goodbyes and leave... but for us Sarah was a 1%er and she was able to be an Organ donor, this meant that Sarah would have to have more testing and waiting to make sure that it was done right, that her beautiful self would live on to save others. We are all so grateful that Sarah was able to make other families smile. Two more days we were able to sit with Sarah, Holding her hand and making sure we were all there even though we knew deep down she wasn't.

The nurses and the Dr's at the Launceston ICU were the most amazing people, they were so caring and loving and tolerant to the 20 or so family members in and out of the ICU, they made us laugh, hugged us when we cried and offered coffee; they let us shower when we didn't want to go home and they let us sleep to recover. We have not forgotten their amazing care.

Because of the wonderful care and compassion the Launceston ICU had for Sarah and our family we would love to give back.
This Go Fund Me is to Honour Sarah. It is to help buy the ICU some comfortable seating for future families. After sitting by Sarah's side 24/7 the ICU seem to only have standard sitting chairs. the money we raise we are going to purchase as many as we can to donate in Sarah's honour.
