Help Salem with his medical care

Hi everyone!
I’ve been struggling with deciding to make one of these or not, but ultimately realized I’m not going to be able to come up with nearly $5,000 all on my own.
Back in January Salem, who is my service dog started peeing blood. It led us to the Emergency Vet where I was told it was just a UTI and didn’t need to worry. Follow up with my regular vet after he finishes his antibiotic.
About a month later, we see his primary vet who seemed much more concerned about this UTI than the ER did. He explained to me how uncommon it is for a fixed, male dog to get a UTI and that he’d like to do some further work ups. Oh, and he still had the UTI.
Several visits later, Salem’s vet believes he has something called Diabetes Insipidus. It has nothing to do with his sugar ;) But rather he is missing a hormone and he drinks so much water and pees so much he becomes dehydrated and causes kidney damage to himself.
His vet also did an ultrasound and while doing that they noticed something near his left kidney that looked like it could be a mis-shapen blood vessel, however there was no blood flow to it at all. And where it’s positioned, he’s concerned.
His vet ultimately wants to send him out and have a CT scan done and a different type of specialist see him. All of this will cost around $5,000. And that’s just for the initial scan and all the testing. I’m not sure what it is will be like for an actual treatment.
