Help Shannon Study Abroad

My name is Shannon Daly. I am starting my fifth school year at the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO). I recently received my Associate's in Contemporary usic Business andI am working toward my Bachelor's in Technology Application Studies.. I started a gofundme to raise money for an opportunity to study abroad in Seoul, South Korea during the Summer of 2019. I'll attend the Hanyang University Summer School.
I never want a language to be a barrier in my life. I grew up learning the German language and culture and was hooked on the world. At UCO, I signed up for their international student buddy program and was blessed to have a buddy from South Korea (she's in my photo! that's Dasom). I never studied Asian cultures, but this was an eye-opening experience. I have vowed to go to South Korea to learn more about the language and culture. I'm thankful I grew up as my father's daughter, who was full of acceptance and curiosity. He was very encouraging about my dream before he passed away June 2016.
Along with the money I make working, my savings bonds, scholarships, and personal loans, this money will go toward my expenses in Seoul. This will include plane tickets, housing at the university, tuition, medical expenses, and food/entertainment during my time abroad. To be able to go on this experience would be a dream come true. I have never left the USA, and I think now, being in my 20s, is a prime time to be able to travel the world (while making college credits!).
To everyone who makes a donation, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. To those who cannot donate but would like to, thank you for also believing in this dream of mine. If anyone has any questions please let me know.
During my experience abroad, I plan on using my blog to keep everyone updated. I also plan on making videos to keep you all along beside me during this experience!
Thanks again, and please spread the word! It is very appreciated!
