Donation's for the Fritz's

Hi All,

I've played in the Wilmington Adult League for close to 6 years and consider many of you my second family, which is why I'm reaching out to you.

Erin Fritz, from the Met Life team,  could really use our support right now. Her husband, Tyler, has been diagnosed with a very scary, fast moving auto-immune disease.

Last Monday, he was admitted in to the hospital after falling due to numbness in his arms and legs. He was diagnosed with Guillain"“Barré syndrome. By Wednesday, March 6th, he was completely paralyzed.

They were told that at this point, it could possibly progress to his respiratory system, but they would be monitoring him. By Friday, he was on a ventilator and New Hanover Hospital began discussing transferring him to another hospital that would be able to treat this auto-immune disease. Later that day he was transported by a helicopter to Greensboro, where he would begin a treatment to transfer all of his antibodies out of the bloodstream.

Since arriving in Greensboro last Friday, Tyler is slowly easing off of the ventilator, but still requiring assistance from a tracheotomy. He has begun to move his shoulders and wiggles his fingers, which are huge steps from where they were a week ago.

However it's a long road ahead for them. Tyler will have to go through an extensive amount of physical therapy to relearn how to walk, among a million other little minor and underappreciated basic functions.

Once Tyler recovers, they will have a mountain of medical bills. Any donations to assist with their medical bills would be greatly appreciated!
