Hi everyone! Let me introduce you to Kylie. In the spring of 2016, Kylie graduated from Mesa Ridge high school and began attending UCCS that fall studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Business Management. She had big dreams to join the armed forces to serve our country, but plans sometimes change. Kylie loves Harry Potter, her cat Elsa Night Furry and sharing her passion for essential oils. When she graduates college she plans on using her skills and knowledge gained to make an impact around the world. She is an ABSOLUTE JOY to all who know her.
This September, Kylie was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Yup.
First, please pray. This young woman needs us to stand the gap. Although Kylie is probably the most positive person ever to be diagnosed with this disease, let’s pray her through the rough days. She is just finishing her second cycle of chemo and has just begun to lose her hair.
Second, please donate to help with the burden of finances. The funds raised will go directly to:
· medical treatments (insurance does NOT cover everything and the family often gets the run-a-round with what IS covered)
· travel costs (gas, parking, and lodging when needed)
· food costs (getting Kylie the food/nutrition she needs to keep her strength…often a struggle with the side effects of chemo)
· unexpected costs associated with her care (loss of household income due to time off, in-home care needs (equipment, care visits, etc.), other out-of-pocket expenses…too many to list)
Listen y’all, this family should not have to worry about finances when they should be focused on treatment, recovery, and loving on their baby girl.
